AMD introduces 9W 64-bit Sempron and 0.9W Geode processors

It's another step in the race to near-zero operating energy footprint power processors. The AMD Sempron 2100+ runs at 1.0GHz, supports 64-bit extensions and uses Socket S1. More details are in the AMD promo sheet. A temperature monitoring range of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius range can now be supported with the AMD Geode LX 800 @ 0.9W processor. The new processors ease fanless cooling, especially in extreme, harsh conditions.
